Common Panel Upgrades in Clark County

100-Amp to 200-Amp Upgrade

The number one panel job in Clark County. Hazel Dell, Orchards, and east Vancouver are full of 1960s-1980s homes with 100-amp panels. Add an EV charger or heat pump and you need 200 amps.

Fuse Box to Breaker Panel

Downtown Vancouver and older Hazel Dell neighborhoods still have fuse panels. We pull the old fuse box and install a modern breaker panel with proper grounding and code-compliant outdoor disconnect.

Federal Pacific and Zinsco Replacement

These panels are fire hazards. We see Federal Pacific and Zinsco breaker boxes in Clark County homes from the 1970s and 1980s constantly. If yours says either name on the door, it needs to be replaced.

Sub-Panel for Shop or Garage

Building a shop in Battle Ground? Finishing the garage in Ridgefield? A sub-panel gives you dedicated breaker space without overloading your main electrical panel.

Electrical Panel Upgrades

200 Amp Panel Upgrades & Breaker Box Replacement in Clark County

Clark County has a huge range of housing stock. Pre-war homes in downtown Vancouver with knob-and-tube. Mid-century ranches in Hazel Dell with 100-amp fuse panels. And brand new builds in Ridgefield that still need more capacity for the EV charger, the heat pump, and the shop out back.

Newman Electric handles panel upgrades and breaker box replacements across all of Clark County. We replace outdated 100-amp panels with 200-amp service, swap fuse boxes for modern breaker panels, and get rid of Federal Pacific and Zinsco hazards. Permit and inspection included on every job.

Troubleshooting & Repair

Electrical Troubleshooting & Repair in Clark County

Your breaker keeps tripping, an outlet stopped working, the lights in the kitchen flicker every time the AC kicks on. You need someone who can actually find the problem, not just guess. Newman Electric troubleshoots and repairs electrical issues across Clark County.

Breaker Keeps Tripping

Overloaded circuit, short circuit, or a failing breaker. Common in older Clark County homes running modern appliances on undersized wiring.

Outlets Not Working

Dead outlets, intermittent power, or sparking when you plug something in. Could be a loose connection, tripped GFCI upstream, or deteriorated wiring.

Flickering or Dimming Lights

Loose connections at the fixture, the switch, or the panel. Sometimes a sign of an overloaded circuit. Either way, worth getting checked.

Circuit Overloads

Older Vancouver and Hazel Dell homes often have kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms sharing a single 15-amp circuit. That was fine in 1970. Not anymore.

Partial Power Loss

Half the house goes out. Could be a tripped main, a failed breaker, or a loose connection at the panel. We trace it back and fix the root cause.

Hot Outlets or Burning Smell

Warm cover plates or a burning smell near a switch or outlet means something is wrong right now. Call us immediately. Don't wait on that one.

How We Approach Diagnostics

We show up, look at the problem, and explain what we find before touching anything. Ryan built this company on straight answers. If your repair is simple, we tell you that. If your panel needs replacing, you'll understand why before we start.

Bad wiring, faulty breakers, damaged outlets and switches, ground faults, aluminum wiring connections, knob-and-tube issues. Whatever your Clark County home throws at us, we've probably seen it before.
