These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Newman Electric LLC ("Newman Electric," "we," "us," or "our") website located at newmanelectricwa.com (the "Site") and the electrical services we provide. By accessing our Site or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Use of This Website
You may use our Site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- Use the Site in any way that violates applicable federal, state, or local laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its systems
- Use the Site to transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
- Scrape, copy, or reproduce our content without written permission
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Site
2. Estimates and Pricing
Newman Electric provides free estimates for electrical work. Estimates are based on the information available at the time of assessment and are subject to change if project scope, conditions, or requirements change.
- Estimates are not binding contracts. A separate service agreement or work authorization is required before work begins.
- If additional work is discovered during a project (e.g., code violations, hidden damage, or unforeseen conditions), we will notify you and provide a revised estimate before proceeding with the additional work.
- Payment terms will be specified in your service agreement.
3. Electrical Services
Newman Electric is a licensed electrical contractor in the State of Washington (License No. NEWMAEL798DR). All work is performed in accordance with applicable state and local electrical codes and regulations.
- We carry general liability insurance and are bonded as required by Washington state law.
- All permitted work will be submitted for inspection by the appropriate local authority having jurisdiction.
- We stand behind our work. If you experience an issue related to work we performed, contact us and we will address it.
4. Scheduling and Cancellations
We make every effort to arrive at the scheduled time and complete work within estimated timeframes. However, electrical work can be unpredictable, and schedules may need to be adjusted.
- If we need to reschedule your appointment, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative time.
- If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours notice so we can accommodate other customers.
5. Emergency Services
Newman Electric provides 24/7 emergency electrical services. Emergency calls are prioritized based on safety risk. Emergency service rates may differ from standard service rates and will be communicated before work begins.
6. Customer Responsibilities
To help us complete your project safely and efficiently, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your electrical needs and property
- Ensure safe and reasonable access to the work area
- Inform us of any known hazards, such as asbestos, lead paint, or structural issues
- Obtain any required homeowner association approvals or permissions before work begins
- Keep children and pets away from active work areas
7. Permits and Inspections
Certain electrical work requires permits from the local jurisdiction. Newman Electric will obtain the necessary permits for permitted work and schedule required inspections. Permit fees are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated in the estimate.
8. Warranty
Newman Electric stands behind the quality of our work. Our workmanship warranty covers defects in installation and labor. The warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or modification of the work by others

- Issues with materials or equipment not supplied by Newman Electric
Manufacturer warranties on equipment and materials (panels, generators, fixtures, etc.) are separate from our workmanship warranty and are governed by the manufacturer's terms.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Washington state law:
- Newman Electric's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
- Newman Electric shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
- Newman Electric is not responsible for pre-existing conditions in your property's electrical system that are not part of our contracted scope of work.
